With over two decades of dedicated experience in the financial sector, Dr. Dan Wang is a highly accomplished Financial Analyst and Microfinance Expert specializing in financial inclusion. Dr. Wang holds a Master’s degree in International Business, majoring in Finance from the University of Sydney, Australia, and a PhD in Agricultural Economic Management from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, showcasing her strong academic foundation and expertise.

In 2005, Dr. Wang joined the ‘Father of Microfinance in China’ to set up the China Association of Microfinance which was the first national association to promote microfinance and financial inclusion in China. Throughout her tenure as Secretary General, she played a pivotal role in advancing microfinance initiatives across China, championing financial empowerment and inclusion for underserved communities.

Dr. Wang’s robust expertise encompasses teaching, risk management consulting, social performance evaluation, and HR consultancy. Her multi-faceted background reflects a deep commitment to bridging the gap between innovative microfinance practices and sustainable financial development. Dr. Wang has collaborated extensively with renowned organizations, including Grameen Bank. Her relationship with Grameen dates back to 2006, highlighted by accompanying Professor Muhammad Yunus on his visit to China as a translator right after he won the Nobel Peace Prize.
