🚀 The 1st Sino-Hellenic Startup Competition has successfully concluded — alongside an inspiring journey to Chengdu for its 3 Greek winners!
This initiative was more than a startup competition — it was a living bridge between Greece and China. Beyond the business agenda, we had the privilege to experience the richness of Chinese culture, the warmth of Chinese hospitality, and witness firsthand the impressive progress and dynamism of modern China. It was a powerful reminder that innovation thrives where cultures connect.
🏛️ The competition was organized by China West Connector, a member of GPA Group, which is actively committed to strengthening business ties between China and Greece. Through this initiative, CWC and GPA Investment Group aimed to open new channels for innovation, investment, and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
As part of the prize, the winning Greek startups — Haptikos Inc., Igmorino, and ResQ Biotech, — traveled to Chengdu to present their technologies to Chinese enterprises and explore opportunities for collaboration.
✈️ The visit was generously sponsored by the Sichuan Transfer Exchange Center (STEC), under the leadership of Director Ding, and was held on the occasion of the Second Belt and Road Conference on Science and Technology Exchange, organized in Chengdu from June 10 to 12.
🗣️ As Director Ding of STEC remarked:
“China is committed to building an open and inclusive innovation ecosystem. We warmly welcome Greek and other Western companies to explore long-term cooperation with Chinese partners. Through initiatives like the Sino-Hellenic Startup Competition, we aim to create real bridges — not just between economies, but between people, cultures, and ideas. Chengdu, and China more broadly, is ready to embrace global collaboration.”
🎤 On June 10, the “Chengdu Roadshow Summit for Greek Award-Winning Technology Projects” was successfully hosted. It was organized by Hylir Group, with co-organization by Huancheng Digital Intelligence (Chengdu) Park Operation and Management Co., Ltd. The summit provided a high-level platform for the Greek startups to showcase their innovations, engage with top Chinese stakeholders, and explore meaningful synergies for future cooperation.
🌟 A heartfelt thank you, goes to Madame Tang, Chairman of Hylir Group, for her vision and hospitality. Her personal dedication to this initiative made the event a great success. This engagement reflects its strategic intent to deepen China-Greece business ties.
🤝 We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Embassy of Greece in Beijing, and especially to Mr. Georgios Chatzipetros, Counsellor for Economic & Commercial Affairs, for his presence and steadfast support throughout the Chengdu summit. His involvement provided critical encouragement and visibility to the Greek delegation.
🌍 This is just the beginning — and we look forward to continuing this journey of cooperation, innovation, and shared prosperity.
